Championing Excellence in Early Childhood Development (ECD) Across Ghana

The Early Childhood Network Ghana (ECNG) is a national, non-profit network committed to promoting high-quality, inclusive, and equitable Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) in Ghana. Established in 2020, ECNG brings together over 500 stakeholders—including educators, parents, NGOs, researchers, government institutions, and private practitioners—who are passionate about improving the lives of young children.

At ECNG, we believe that early childhood is the foundation for lifelong learning, well-being, and success. We advocate for policies, programs, and partnerships that place children at the center of development.

What We Do:

• Policy Advocacy: We influence national and sub-national policies on early childhood education, child protection, and nurturing care.
• Neuroscience Advocacy: Through quarterly webinars and knowledge-sharing, we promote brain science-informed practices for caregivers, teachers, and policymakers.
• Capacity Building: We train early childhood educators and community-based workers to deliver quality, inclusive, and responsive early learning experiences.
• Research & Knowledge Sharing: We lead and disseminate ECD-related research, including studies on the impact of climate change, child rights, and responsive parenting.
• Partnerships & Networking: We foster collaboration among stakeholders and serve as Ghana’s voice in regional platforms like the Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN).
• Community Engagement: Through advocacy materials, parent education, and digital outreach, we empower families to support their children’s development.
