Angela Adwoa Asare Affran is a seasoned Inclusive Education and Disability Rights Specialist with over 20 years of experience designing and managing programmes that advance inclusive learning, early childhood development, and disability inclusion across Africa. Her expertise lies in inclusive education systems strengthening, curriculum development, organizational capacity building, and international donor coordination.

Angela currently serves as a Consultant for Disability Programming with the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Ashesi University, where she supports the inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education. She previously worked as Regional Director for Perkins International – Africa, where she led multi-country initiatives across Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania to improve learning outcomes for children with visual impairments and multiple disabilities.

She has held advisory and leadership roles in the National Inclusive Education Technical Working Group, the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC), and the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program Alumni Association. Angela has coordinated high-level trainings, authored inclusive policy guidelines, and presented at global forums on disability and education—including the UN High-Level Political Forum and the Africa Forum on Visual Impairment.

At ECNG, Angela brings deep technical knowledge and lived advocacy experience, ensuring that the network’s interventions are inclusive, rights-based, and responsive to the needs of all children. Her values-driven leadership and unwavering commitment to equity continue to shape inclusive education discourse across Ghana and the continent.
